ON THE DAYS IN RESTAURANT

Dinners are served in some of the best restaurants in Puerto Ayora and San Cristobal. You can choose some dishes between the menu, but not everyone. Therefore, before ordering to check if the dishes you choose fall within the pre-set menu. This year we preferred to leave many free meals so that customers can choose where they prefer to eat. In Santa Cruz the quality of the restaurants is better than Isabella and San Cristobal.

NOTES TO THE SERVICES

Galapagos’s quality of services on islands, guides and means of transport is not comparable to that offered in the continental part. On the islands tourism is still at the dawn and due to many restrictions it is slowly developing and you need to know how to adapt.

CLIMATE

The archipelago can be visited all year round: Wet and hot season from January to April, some rain alternating only with warm and little wind.

Cool season from May to December, the temperature is cooler, some mists due to the cold current of Humbolt, cold wind from the southeast.

Water from May to December is not very hot. In visits where snorkeling is planned, it is advisable to rent a mud in Puerto Ayora. If you are cold in charter it also in the other months. Ask at the hotel where you are renting.

LANDING

Daily tours indicate whether landings on the islands are dry or wet.

  • Dry landing: The yacht’s inflatable boat landed and passengers descend without getting wet. These landings are never very simple and can not be addressed by people with mobility problems. There are no piers and you go straight to the ground.
  • Wet boats: The yacht’s inflatable boat arrives near the beach where the water is very low, passengers go down to the water and walk to the shore. In this case shorts are indispensable. The shoes are held in hand.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

  • Upon confirmation, a deposit of 40% of the total package booked is required. The balance must be paid 30 days before departure. ( WESTER UNION- PAY BY PHONE – BANK ACCOUNT)

CANCELLATION PENALTY

  • Cancellations up to 90 days of penalty departure of 30%
  • Cancellations from 89 to 60 days prior to departure: 40% on the total package price
  • Cancellations from 59 days to 45 days prior to departure: 60% on package price
  • Cancellations from 44 to 0 days prior to the total penalty departure of 100%
  • Cancellations up to 30 days after departure for medical reasons will be subject to a 50% penalty. It is indispensable to submit a medical certificate. This reduction for medical reasons can be applied to a maximum of 2 passengers per group.
